I dont have access to a base, but if I knew someone who could buy those cans for 50 cents a piece I would get them to buy a load for me.

I had a First Sergeant once that was an old military gas can, but I don't think you're looking for him! There are some surplus stores here in Mobile, I'll check them and let you know.
