Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band are on tour once again! It has been 10 years since their last concert tour. Tour dates and venues are being released daily. The two closest concerts to us will be Knoxville, TN (Nov. 20th) and Atlanta, GA (Dec. 7th) The tickets went on sale for the Knoxville concert date on October 14th via www.knoxvilletickets.com and are rapidly selling out. Tickets for the Atlanta concert on Dec. 7th haven't been released for sale as of yet. Concerts are selling out quickly, some in a matter of minutes!
Just thought I would put this one up for the Seger fans out there who may be interested in trying to catch Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band on this tour!

LOL! Sorry, I get my bad hair, soft-rock 70's guitar gods mixed up! Which one is Seger?
I'm much more of a Plant/Page girl, myself.

Is this the guy that re-made Metallica's "Turn the Page"?

I think you got it backwards. It was Metallica who remade Bob Seger's Turn The Page.

Got 2 tickets to the Knoxville, TN concert and a motel room already booked!
My wife (Nursing Chick), being a devout Alabama Fan, is not wild about the concert being held @ the University of Tennessee (aka Fat Phil territory), but she is excited about the upcoming concert and trip!

Knoxville is actually a decent town. That's why it's SUCH a shame that UT is there. Make certain to get Nursing Chick to wear crimson...she can take care of herself amongst those hillbillies!

....ha...it's that big round, frisbee looking thingy that makes crackley sounds when you play it on a phonograph. oh...hunh... I'm thinking you don't know what that is either? lol...ha....lol....well doll, just google it!
....anyway, some songs I only "know" with skips and crackles. They just don't sound the same without them! :)

I love some Bob Seger. "Turn the Page" IMO is his best song for the way it portrays life on the road. Would like to go see him, but concert prices are just too ridiculous these days. I saw Van Halen in 1984 for $12! I paid $300 (2 tix) /13th row to see Kenny Chesney in Pensacola in April.
You can take out a second mortgage on your home & get close to the entertainer or pay average prices & have to look through binoculars. Anyway...hope you & Nursing Chick have a good time...it'll be a great show.

 I get Seger and Kenny Loggins mixed up in my head.

Two of the greatest songs ever written and sung are credited to Bob Seger. "Night Moves" and "Turn the Page." Lines such as "We Were Young, Restless and Bored" from "Night Moves" and the story the lyrics tell in "Turn the Page, especially about life on the road for a rock and roll singer are incredible.

Man, the memories...teenagers will never know what it's like to hear "Against the wind" coming out of house speakers in back of a van on 8 track.

Okay....Stick, is he going to be playing only his "new" stuff or do you think it will be a good mix?
I love Bob. In fact, I just popped one of his CDs in the computer. I have to say that my favorite is "Trying to live my life without you" but honestly, "Sunspot Baby" plays a close second for me.
Anyway, thanks for the info!
