Contains downloads for all Windows versions, and Linux. Also at the bottom of the page, there is a download for anti-spyware. I personally use Spybot S&D, but if you don't have that, you might want to try out that software.
For those of you running Norton & McAfee, this is a great alternative. I've been using it for months now, and have had no problems, and it's caught several viruses that tried to move in on my computer.
I know many people get computers around this time of year, and your Norton license is about to expire, instead of paying for a new license, or buying a new box of software, try this out -- it's FREE.

It also tends to catch a lot of stuff that Norton/Mcaffee miss and doesn't hog ram as badly as they do.
I also use spybot as well, so haven't really gotten around to trying the Grisoft anti-spyware program.
I guess I'll try both on a few infected computers and see if Grisoft's is good enough to use in addition to spybot.

I have heard that also -- that it catches a lot of stuff that Norton/McAffee miss. And it is definately easier on the computer -- I remember having Norton and that program and McAffee also would seriously slow down your ocmputer. They were memory hogs.
Also, AVG has built in update, so it automatically updates it's virus definitions anytime one is posted to the web, mine will automatically install an update almost everyday, and it takes NO time at all to download the updated virus definitions -- usually just a few seconds. The updates are very small files -- around 300 KB.
It has most of the features of Norton & McAffee -- scheduled disk scans (so you can set it to do it's Virus scanning while you're at work, or school, or some time when you know you won't be using the computer. The one thing that doesn't come with the free edition is the firewall and other security features similar, but they are now included in Windows XP, so there's really no need to buy AVG if you have Windows XP Home or Professional or any other firewall software running (on PC or router).

AVG is pretty good. The anti-spyware actually caught a bug that McAfee, Norton, Spybot, Adaware and Trendmicro missed.
Pretty good stuff, just keep in mind, the free version is for home use, not business. If you run a business, buy the comercial version to keep the free version free.

I received a pop-up of sorts from AVG and they are going to quit supporting this I didn't have time to read it but they said there was an alternative? Anybody else heard about this?
if you run an anti-virus or spyware program for your computer, it's in your best interest to run another one. Running these programs in tandem are the best way to eliminate the threat for your computer. All of these programs detect a list of viruses, but not every single one. That way, you can better protect yourself. I use Spybot S & D, AdAware, and Norton Anti-virus. I feel safe that my computer will be free from infection, and except for the Norton program I run, you can find most programs for free.
