I am already kinda freaked out by genetically modified corn and other fruits and vegetables. Possible eating cloned meat just makes it a little more freaky! I know that the hormones they already put in cows and other livestock to make them produce better are just as harmfull, but the idea of this just heightens the wierd out factor a bit. I just wish there was a place like Fresh Market closer than Birmingham where they sell organic foods. At least then, you know what you are eating!
What do you think about eating genetically modified or cloned food products???

...for me, cloning is a moral and ethical issue. Basically, I think the whole thing stinks. This is just another reason to become a vegetarian (uncloned fruits and vegetables.)
...Wow, all of this is getting very complicated!

I hate to tell you this, but cloning is much much more common in produce production than in animals. Unless you grow your own veggies from seed, almost every tomato, strawberry, etc. you eat is genetically a clone (i.e. asexually generated from a cutting).

speaking of all the hormones and stuff in our food. Our family went in the another family this year and bought a cow from a friend who raises them to eat and that meat is the best beef I have ever had in my life. From now own that is the only way we are going to have beef again.
But the cloning of animals is inteseting I do not think I will eat it. My question is when they start cloning humans (and you know it is coming) will they have a soul because our souls come from God but when man makes a human will they have a soul?

I'm not so sure they have not already started cloning humans and just keeping it a huge government secret...kinda like the Roswell theory. I always thought Al Gore seemed a bit clonish...lol. Sorry Roxanne...I know he's your heart throb.
All kidding aside...it's a very scary thing. I totally agree that it's morally wrong and like playing God. But on the flip side of that I have to think about all the starving people in the world and will it help them? I just think it's another sign of the times we live in.
