I believe the Lord speaks to people and through people in many different ways, but "IF" and I emphasize "IF" the Lord expressed this to me, I'm not sure I would take it public. I would be on my knees day in and and day out praying that this not happen.
We don't let the crazy homeless guy with the cardboard sign saying "The End is Near" on national television to talk about his delusions...why do we keep letting Pat Robertson do it?!

I believe it is just another scare tactic. Trying to keep his power by trying to scare people in the name of God. jmo

That's exactly where you would have found Jeremiah, Isaiah, Daniel, and many other Old Testament prophets. Even Moses pleaded with the Almighty whenever God would declare that He planned to wipe out Israel.
