Church Hosts 'Porn and Pancakes' Event Friday January 26, 2007 5:23pm</B>

ONTARIO, N.Y. (AP) - It's not your typical church breakfast. An event billed as "Porn and Pancakes" is being hosted by a church in rural upstate New York. The breakfast discussion on the pornography industry in America is planned next month at the Living Word Assembly of God Church in the town of Ontario, about ten miles east of Rochester.

A billboard advertisement near the church shows the words "Porn and Pancakes" written in syrup on a stack of flapjacks.

Organizers told a Rochester TV station that the event on February 10th will be an honest discussion about pornography and its impact on society. The discussion will be led by Triple-X Church, a group of youth ministers who travel the country talking about porn and the porn industry.

The pastor of the Wayne County church and churches from Buffalo, Rochester and Syracuse have asked about hosting "Porn and Pancakes" events.

I think it's important to discuss the pornography industry -- especially if you're against it. It's one of the biggest, richest industries in the world.

I remember back in 2002 (I think), Ron Jeremy and a woman had a debate on Pornography in the area behind the Ferg at UA. It had very high attendance and brought up some good points on both sides.

Funny that Ron Jeremy was the speaker for the Pornography is good side. I think one of the questions he received is "really -- how big is your penis?"

There was a pornography debate in 2004 at UA. On St. Patrick's Day. Take it from me: don't go to a debate on pornography with a bunch of your friends on St. Patrick's Day after drinking copious amounts of green beer.

I think it is great there needs to be awareness of how pornography can wreck lives or in the experience I have marriages. I know most people think it is funny and nothing wrong with it, but an addiction to pornography can be devistating to a marriage and a family.
