Al Franken Running For U.S. Senate
Al Franken is running for the U.S. Senate seat for Minnesota currently occupied by Norm Coleman (who won after Paul Wellstone was killed in a plane crash). (link)

Franken is one of my favorites. You may know him as a former writer and comic on Saturday Night Live (Stuart "I'm good enough, I'm smart enough, and doggoneit, people like me" Smalley)

author: Lies and the Lying Liars that Tell Them: A Fair and Balanced Look at the Right (which got him sued by FOX News and Bill O'Reilley); The Truth (with Jokes); and Rush Limbaugh is a Big Fat Idiot

and as host of The Al Franken Show on AirAmerica Radio (originally named "The O'Franken Factor"...and it got him sued).

Kudos and good luck to Al Franken (link)....better luck than I was able to give to Kinky Friedman (link) in the Texas Governor race last year

I guess if they will elect an wrestler Governer they'll elect a comedian to the senate. Personally I think he's way to left-biased to be an effective leader (I would say the same if Hannity or Limbaugh was running, except to the right).
