"Titanic" director James Cameron is holding a press conference later today in New York; he says he'll reveal three coffins that supposedly belong to Jesus of Nazareth, his mother, Mary, and Mary Magdalene. Cameron has a documentary, "The Lost Tomb of Jesus," about to air on the Discovery Channel. In the film, Cameron claims that a tomb originally discovered near Jerusalem in 1980 is where Jesus was buried, and that DNA evidence found there suggests that he had a son with Mary Magdalene.
They had DNA on Jesus and Mary Magdalene so they can verify identiy....WOW
LOL - my first thought too. My BS detector in going off. It sounds about as plausible as "The Da Vinci Code", i.e. complete BS that will make a lot of money.
What I heard was that the dna proved that the Jesus and Mary in the tomb were not siblings. It is important to remember that Jesus, Mary, and Joseph were very common names of the time. Although Cameron and an investigative reporter whose name escapes me claim that statisticians have shown that the chances of these NOT being Jesus, Joseph, Mary, Mary Magdalene and a supposed son named Judah are about 200 million to one, I don't believe this. Although Cameron claims that he is not trying to disprove the resurrection, that is exactly what is going to happen in a lot of weak minds. I am very open to discussion about many things (including the timeline of Creation), but nobody's budging me about my Lord and Savior still being in a tomb! He is alive! And we too will live if we believe in Him.
This is a "trap." Satan is manipulating this to try to cause many to lose faith in Jesus. I passionately believe in spiritual warfare, having experienced it in an explosive way myself. I'm just going to keep my eyes on Jesus. I believe what He says, not anyone else. And if I'm not being rational or logical about this topic, so be it. I'm not moving on this one.
GOD BLESS AMERICA AND ROLL TIDE ROLL!

The false clue here is "coffin", or even "sarcophagus".
Hebrew burial rites of the first century didn't include coffins or sarcophagi. Jewish people were wrapped in linen and laid on stone-hewned platforms that were cut so that decaying bodily fluids could run off into the soil. Once the dead had been reduced to a skeleton, a grave tender, or caretaker, would clean the bones and place them in a vault of bones containing that person's ancestors; thus, the Old Testament uses the phrasings "gathered to his fathers" or "rested with his fathers". Generally, Hebrews were not buried in sarcophagi like Egyptians or coffins like the wealthy Europeans. Being that Jesus and the early apostles died martyrs' deaths, they would have been in coffins.
Cameron needs to stick to finding the Bismarck and the Titanic. Although he does an excellent job below sea level, he appears to be all wet this time.
The will of God prevails. In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, but one must be, wrong. - Abraham Lincoln, 1862

Anyone know when/was the press conference or a link to the press conference?
I remember not to terribly long ago they found a box with the remains of Jesus' brother, how many remains did this guy have? I know that this discovery was later proved to be untrue much like this will be.
This is the same guy that will not disturb the Titanic because of it contains the graves of the passengers but has no problem dragging 3 people dead for centuries to New York for a little publicity. I guess he did not want to enrage relatives of those that perished on the Titanic, I am thinking he may have chose to piss off the wrong group.
