Venezuela and Chavez

I have seen the news where Venezuelan Dictator Hugo Chavez has on live TV called our President the Devil reincarnate, has repeatedly slammed and condemned the United States, and is paranoid that the CIA or some US Government Agency is out to assassinate him. What incenses me most is this goon is raking in MILLIONS of dollars each year from the United States in sales of oil and petroleum products to the United States under the CITGO and Petro Express brands, yet he continually denounces and condems our country! Just in case everyone doesn't know or has forgotten, Venezuela OWNS the CITGO and Petro Express (NOT to be confused with the PETRO Truck Stops) brands of convenience stores and gas stations.

I don't know about anyone else, but I've made a conscious decision NOT to buy ANYTHING from any gas station or convenience store branded CITGO or Petro Express if I can at all help it! I refuse to support a country and a "rabid dog" dictator who visciously bites the hand that feeds him!

We might as well send him a dozen nuclear missles and tell him to fire them at will at the US as to support his regime by pumping millions of dollars into his country's bank account buying his oil, gasoline, and diesel fuel!

While you're at it, don't forget about the heating oil he gave in Harlem (personal visit there) and in Alaska.

Re: Venezuela and Chavez

I also don't buy CITGO gas or anything else from the stores. A great deal of these stations were rebranded to something else. But with the way oil is traded and moved around we may also be buying Venezuela oil under another brand. Great PR move on Chavez's part to give a little oil to Harlam and other places. I saw Joe Kennedy on a program a few days ago and he was proud to be supporting Chavez on his oil give away and appears in TV ads for the project.

I'm sure he did this out of the goodness of his heart.

Re: Venezuela and Chavez

Chavez has rebranded CITGO as PETRO EXPRESS. Hence PETRO EXPRESS = CITGO.

As for a Kennedy backing Chavez's giveaway of heating oil in Harlem, anyone who TRULY bleeds red, white, and blue would've backed as far away from that publicity stunt as they possibly could!

Cahvez was on TV again this morning lambasting the US!

Re: Venezuela and Chavez

What I meant by some stations being rebranded is thousands of independent stations have dropped Citgo and went to another brand, Shell, BP, Exxon, etc.
