Motorola Maratrac VHF Radio
I have a Motorola MaraTrac VFH vehicle mount radio for sale. This unit was purchased used, but is in excellent condition and has been maintained. This is a remote mount radio (box goes in trunk or in back of vehicle, control head mounts up front in driver compartment). I have installed a new control cable (the one I got when I purchased this radio had been spliced into by a ham radio operator) and a Motorola factory reconditioned control head. This radio is a 110 watt radio and has been checked by Darren Cook @ Cooks Electronics to verify the output. This radio is 99 channels, 110 watts, VFH band (140-170 mhz), 12 volts DC. I have all mounting hardware, speaker, microphone, and antenna for this radio. Antenna is the kind that you will have to drill a hole in the roof or trunk lid to mount. Radio is in excellent working condition, programmed for Demopolis, Linden, and a few other locations in Alabama, as well as all the NOAA Weather channels. Buyer can take this radio to any Motorola Authorized Dealer and have it reprogrammed (at buyer's expense) to their specifications.
This radio will key the Marengo County Sheriff's repeater (approx 55 - 60 mile range) from the Black Warrior Bridge on I-20 /59 between Fosters and Tuscaloosa. It will also key up the Marengo County Commission Repeater (approx 55 - 60 mile range) from the Wal-Mart Supercenter parking lot on McFarland Blvd in Tuscaloosa. I can key up the Fayette Police Department repeater (130 mile range) from Demopolis. This radio WALKS and TALKS! It ain't a TOY!
