A internet guru that is. My secretary ran a spybot scearch and destroy on my computer and now I can't go to runnersworld.com. When I try to go to the site I get a security alert, something about the certificate and then it asks me if I want to proceed. I tell it yes but the page wont open and I get a small error message in the top left hand corner of a all white screen. Its driving me nuts, anyone have a suggestion.

Not a "guru" but I do have a suggestion. Spybot has a recovery button, try going to that page, check what was removed and click "Recover Selected Items". That will only work if no one hit the "Purge" button on the same screen to delete what was removed. Good Luck!

Thanks for your reply but that didn't get it done. It comes up as a security alert. It says that the certificate is from a trusted source but that the name on the certificate does not match the name of the website.

Open IE. On the MENU bar at the top of the page, click on TOOLS, then go to INTERNET OPTIONS. Click on it, then click on the SECURITY tab. Highlight the GREEN DOT with the check mark labeled TRUSTED SITES, then go just a little lower to the right and click the SITES box. Add the URL (web address) of the site you are trying to access to the list. Make sure you UNCHCEK the box for "Require server verification (https) for all sites listed."
See if that will fix your problem.

I once had a problem similar to that and I cleared out all of the internet temp files, all the cookies then rebooted and it cleared it up for me. Of course it's probably something totally different but you never know. You might try putting back whatever ended up in the recycle bin too.
