The Demopolis Tigers put on a show Friday night, beating the Livingston Cougars 77-6. Marco Rembert had 125 yards on 15 carries, rushing for 2 TD's and catching another. Dustin Goodwin was sharp, hitting 11 of 13 for 161 yards and 3 TD's, and also running for 1. The Tiger defense was equally as good, holding Livingston to 138 total yards, grabbing 3 interceptions and causing 6 fumbles, recovering 2. DHS moves to 7-0 on the season, and will travel to Fayette County on Oct. 18th to face their toughest opponent yet this season.

In other news.... The Demopolis Times has decided to support and endorse Don Siegleman for governor of our great state. They base this on his contributions to the black belt reigons of Alabama, namely the roads that run through it. Hopefully, their opinion is genuine and not "paid for by the elect Don Siegleman committee". I've personally met ole Don on one of his trips through Demopolis, and the impression he left me with was "who else can I vote for next time?"....Their will be a blood drive Wednesday, Oct. 16th, at the Civic Center from 9:30 A.M. until 5:30 p.m. All people in the area 17 years or older and in good health are encouraged to come by and help save lives. After giving blood,(or before), go by the Riverside Cemetery and help with the clean up, beginning at 8 a.m.

Finally....Congradulations to Ashton Tucker and Becca Ethridge, winning Young and Little Miss COTR Last week.
