Need help w/ Sony Ericsson cell phone

I have a niece who has a Sony Ericsson J220a cell phone. She has locked the phone (not the SIM card) with her own 5 or 6 digit code and does not remember the code. Is there anyone out there who may work with cell phones that can tell me how I can reset the unlock code on this phone. There should be a way to do a master reset on this phone through the keypad or something, but is a secret reserved for service techs. Any help would be appreciated.

I prefer if someone has the solution to PM me with it rather than posting it in open forum for security reasons.

Hopefully customer service can help. From what I read on the web, there is a cable available to unlock the phone, but is costs $$. Good luck!
