There is Doberman Pinscher on Southmont Drive that seems to have lost it's owner. He was currently spotted around 6:30pm.

Thanks for the post Suggarbritches...... The dog was lost. 45 mins after calling the DPD and being told by the person on the phone that the pound was closed on weekends and they probably wouldn't come for that..... I called again, got the second person - Lisa- who I told the problem to again, within 5 mins 911 Marengo called me back (the first lady) to let me know that an officer was on his way to my residence with the owner. The owner told me that she was looking for the dog out behind Wal-mart when she saw an officer and told him what she was looking for. I understood that the officer had called in and that was how they knew where to find the dog. The lady came with an officer, who was on a cell phone with the male owner telling him that they had found the dog. The lady got the dog on the leash, and thanked me and asked how long it had been here. The male gets here and comments "Thank God, I thought he had been stolen." (The owners used to live on this street but moved approximately 1 1/2 to 2 years ago.) What I gather is that the lady was reporting the dog as possibly stolen.

Now saying all of this, I want to first say thank you to Lisa. But I would also like to ask what the other lady was thinking telling me that she didn't think they would do anything. I reported a Doberman Pinsher the size of a horse in MY yard. No adult male to help me. I am deathly afraid of BIG dogs, with no collar, and with names like Doberman, Pit Bull, Rotweiller, Chow, etc. Lost dogs are scared dogs!!!!! I understand this is someones pet, but it was NOT MINE..... it does not know me!!!

That is one big dog. It would have scared me to death to see that dog in my yard. Glad that the owners found the dog.
