You almost had to feel bad for the Hornets. Coming into last Friday's showdown, Dallas County was undefeated and favored by more than a few to give Demopolis it's first loss of the season. After the first quarter however, it became apparent that DHS is as good on the field as they look on paper. Marco Rembert was a one man wrecking crew, gaining 202 yards on carries and 2 touchdowns, including a 49 yard TD run at the end of the 3rd quarter that you had to see to believe. Goodwin completed 8 of 13 passes for 142 yards with one interception. The Tigers held the Hornets to 229 total yards. Demopolis will host Jackson on Nov. 1st for the final game of the regular season.
In other news....Their is no apperent link between the "Sniper" killings and the "Ground Zero Fire Arms Training Camp" which is located just outside of Marion AL. According to local officials in Marion, the camp is used to train security personel and law enforcement officers. Their have been no reports of terrorist or any other illegal activity noted from the camp. You would think after 9/11 they could have picked a different name though....The Demopolis Public Library offers classes in basic computer knowlege and use. You can contact Lindsey Gardner at the library for details. Anyone looking for more advanced help in computer related areas can "ask the experts" here in the computer section of the forums. If you got to our site on your own, you're problably already ahead of the classes at the library.
Finally....Everyone have a safe and fun Halloween. Remember "rolling yards" is still considered vandilism by the DPD unless you have consent first. If your going to be out walking in the streets, be sure and wear reflecting clothing of some kind or carry something that glows or shines in the dark.
