A friend of mine thinks that a person might have installed a key logger on their computer via the internet, she joined a message board, and a person on there started commenting on places she had gone on the internet. Is it possible for this to happen, if so how can you find out if it is there, and how do you get rid of it.

Try running "house call"....I'm not sure it'll recognize a key logger but it wont hurt to try.

Hope your friend get's things straightened out!

Yes, it is entirely possible for someone to place a key logger on someone else's computer via internet. I don't know how to tell anyone to find it or get rid of it, but once it is detected and removed, I would be sure to get an internet secruity program (Norton Internet Security, Trend Micro PC-Cillin, Computer Associates Internet Security Suite, etc...) installed to prevent it from happening again!
