I have a little kitty cat to give away free to a loving home. She is female tortiseshell, about 8 weeks old.
This cat has had a tough little life. She walked up at my house abut two weeks ago. She was very friendly and very loving...she was doing figure-8's around my ankle the first time I ever got around her. Unfortunately, I have three cats right now, and just can't take another.
My boyfriend and I took her to Metro Animal Shelter here because we thought she would be adopted very soon. However, before she could get into general population, she caught a cold. Because Metro Animal Shelter runs on a very tight budget, they cannot treat sick animals, and must put them to sleep.
When Metro called and said they were going to put Little Cat to sleep because she had a cold, I just couldn't take it. We picked her up on Friday and took her to the vet. Her tests came back negative for FIV and feline leukemia, so she is a very healthy cat except for a little upper respiratory (sp?) infection. She has been hanging out in my laundry room all weekend, and already seems to be feeling much better.
We even have a voucher so that she can get a free rabies shot. If I haven't heard from anyone by Friday, I will take her back to the vet for the rabies shot and you would incur NO COST!!!!
Please help give Little Cat a good home...she deserves one!

oh i wish i could take her but i have a dog, 3inside cats, 4 outside cats, and a turtle. try posting an ad at the vets. i'll also make sure to ask around to some friends and family.

Kitty is living a nice life as a yard cat on a farm north of Tuscaloosa. She seems to be pretty happy!
