Sugar Shack is closing for the winter

I was told today that the Sugar Shack will be closing for the winter next Friday. It will be opening back up in March. He said that he figured no one would want ice cream and snow biz in the winter and he's probably right. I will miss my weekly snow biz though. Please let him know how much you love the Sugar Shack when you go in. It would be nice for him to know that it will be missed in these next few months.

Awww, it doesnt EVER get too cold for Ice Cream!! (especially down there) I agree, Amanda, that's when I think about Ice Cream and Snow Cream is during the winter months!!

I love the Sugar Shack. I hope he has a good vacation. I was a regular customer during the summer but when it gets cold I go to Pamper Me Perfect for a good hot cup of Joe. I recomend the place to everyone one who loves coffee and needs to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I hope he has a good vacation. Sugar Shack was our after school stop when i am home to pick kids up. It was always a good treat for them.

I love the place. AUfan was such a "regular" that before he could get out of his truck and get inside his order would be ready and sitting on the counter for him. See you in March and have a great vacation.

mmmmmm peppermint ice cream. i love that stuff. you can only get it around this time of year. im gonna have to stop in there. i still havent been yet, guess ill have to go before next friday

I have also heard that more ice cream is sold in the winter than in the summer. I've been a few times and it is always nice to sit down and talk. Hope the vacation is a good one.

In the winter many places like the Sugar Shack offers hot chocolate, hot apple cider, speciality coffees, hot teas, and other such winter treats. I would love to see a snack, snow biz and other treats concession down by the city landing during the summer.

I talked with him and told him he should consider a soup and salad place during the winter months. Demopolis's own version of the 'Soup Natzi'. Nothing like a hot bowl of soup or chili on a cold day. I think it is something we a lacking here.
