NASCAR points system unfair!

Ok, so I watched the race Sunday and I have to say that the new system made it more interesting to watch, but I don't think that Kurt Bush should be the NASCAR champion. Jimmy Johnson, Jeff Godon, and Earnhardt Jr. both had more top 5's top 10's and wins than Bush. You can compare it on www.nascar.com to the old system. I think that this new system puts too much emphasis on the last ten races and everything that you have done the rest of the season in the earlier races goes out the window.

I believe Cup Championships have been won without the champion winning a single race. I have to say the race was more interesting with three drivers with a good possibility to win the Championship. You also have to look at how the team concept had a roll. Johnson and Gordon had an eight point difference. between them. It would have been more exiting if Biffle wasn't ahead of Gordon and Johnson and it was between them on the last couple of laps. Biffle was prepared to drop back behind Busch if Busch need the points to win the championship.

I am not completely sold on the new system. More points need to be given to the winner of the race. Just the pole winner should also be given points toward the Championship. Don't give points for leading a lap.

The new points system is a bunch of crap! I know it added excitement to the races, but if you are a true fan you do not need something like that to make it exciting. Kurt Busch is a fine driver but he does not deserve anything. Under the old system, there still would have been a good race for the title and Kurt Busch would not have been mentioned over the last few races. He was like 300 points back of Jeff Gordon. In my mind, Jeff Gordon is the Champ. He earned the most points over the whole season. They at least need to make some changes to the system.
