Nutt is GONE!!!
Just announced a few mins ago....HOUSTON NUTT IS GONE!!!! Tmrw will be his LAST game in Little Rock as head coach of the Razorbacks and he will be OUT at seasons end! I friggin LOVE it!!! He has made it clear that he was NOT fired or asked to resign but he has chosen to leave on his own accord.

Don't really matter to me as long as he is GONE!
If guns kill people, then pencils are to blame for all of my spelling errors.

This shows the kind of class he has. Sad news here at Murray State, where he coached us to a couple of titles, but not totally unexpected. Getting the Arkansas job was a dream come true. Stepping down on his own shows how much he loves his Hogs. Good luck to him and his family. He will land on his feet.

EDIT: I can't find the story on hogwired.com, ESPN.com, anywhere. Am I just overlooking it, or is this a mid-November April Fools joke?

I kinda hate he is leaving. He did do a pretty good job the years he was there. But I guess a caoch can stay at one place too long and things start going stale. I have seen this happen at alot of different places. Take Alabama for example. The Bear was there a very long time and not to say he was not doing a great job. But toward the end of his career things started to go down hill and Bama wasn't winning like it used to and if it had not been for the love of The Greatest coach to ever live they would have most likly fird him. I know that its only a matter of time untill ole Tubby will have taken his course and he will be on his way. This might even be sooner than most of us Auburn fans realize. I wish Mr Nutt a good future and I hope Ak gets a new coach that will bring back the winning tradition it is use to having.

for some reason the hogwired website has nothing on it...but it was announced on the State news broadcast this evening and they had a small interview with Nutt confirming his decision.
