Internet Questions?

I have a question concerning internet providers. First of all let me explain the circumstances. As many know my daughter MC and her new husband Shawn are a military couple. Shawn is now stationed at Camp Casey in South Korea. We just got word that she will be able to join him during his year tour. They are very excited to be together as well as myself but I will have to admit it is bittersweet for me. So, now I can get to my question. I live on social security disability and after MC leaves I will no longer be able to keep my internet because of the expense. That would of been our MAIN source of communication being cell phones are not an option because of the high fees. Does anyone know of any internet providers that may help out with the cost of the internet to families with loved ones oversea or even people that are on social security? I know this is a stretch asking but I figured it wouldn't hurt anything to ask. Thank you in advance for any replies. Hugs!!!

Re: Internet Questions?

There was a provider two or three years ago that provided the net for free, provided you put up with advertisements. Juno, I think.

Re: Internet Questions?

NetZero offers dial-up for $9.95/month with a 12-month commitment. Free internet access with connection points all across the US. The free service offers 10 hours of access each month, and a webmail account is included in the package. You can extend the number of hours by upgrading to the premium service level.

Access-4-Free provides free internet access (without ads) for up to 10 hours in any given month. Additional hours are billed at $1 per hour or part thereof, up to a maximum of $10 a month. The service supports modem speeds up to V.92. Note that you have to supply credit card details to sign up, and that there is a one-time $4.95 setup fee.

JunoTurbo. $9.95/month w/ a 12-month commitment.

**Discounted web service will probably be the old-fashioned dial-up service. I haven't heard of ANYONE discounting OR giving away high-speed connections. Good luck in your search

Re: Internet Questions?

I use Wal-Mart Connect. It is dial-up, which makes some people squirm, but I don't give a hoot. I love it. Only 7.94 a month
