Picture of Fayette Co. Deer(s)

Can you believe this??

Here’s what a friend wrote -

Folks,
I have hunted all my life and have never seen anything like what I saw today 11/17 at Sipsey Deer Processing in Fayette, Alabama.

My hunting partner & I stopped by there this morning to drop off the doe I had killed. A fella came in with a buck he had killed and attached to it was another buck which I will call the "carcass" buck. One was a 6 point and the other was an 8 point but I don't remember which was which. The one the guy had killed was dragging around half the carcass of the other. Attached to the deer that was killed this morning was the rack, the head & neck and the entire rib cage of the carcass buck. One of the antler points of the deer killed this morning was embedded DEEP into the skull of the carcass deer right above it's eye. Their antlers were also locked in addition to the impalement. Most all the flesh was gone from the ribcage of the carcass buck. It looked as if something had eaten it away many weeks ago.

The guy that killed it said the buck was walking through an acorn flat with it's head down. It could not even lift it's head because of the weight of the carcass buck. The buck was very small, thin, and extremely malnourished looking. I think the hunter just expedited the inevitable.

I took 9 PICS on my cell phone and my daughters boyfriend is gonna transfer them to his phone, then to his computer and then he is going to email them to me. I'll get some of them posted ASAP.

Never seen nothing like it!

Re: Picture of Fayette Co. Deer(s)

I bet this one will definitely be in next week's Fayette paper. I get it at home, but it will be the week after the paper comes out before I will get it in Providence. I am curious to find out who killed this deer. I am from Fayette and have family and friends still there.

Re: Picture of Fayette Co. Deer(s)

OH MY Goodness...I had to show that to all the guys at the shop. WOW what a story. I wonder just how long that deer had been walking around with the other one "attached"...One of my coworkers just laughed when I told him and I said this isn't a joke its real. He just said I know, but I can't help thinking "2 heads are better than one" He is the jokester of our group!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Re: Picture of Fayette Co. Deer(s)

One of the popular hunting magazines had a similar story and pictures several years ago. Only difference, the living buck was in better health.

Re: Picture of Fayette Co. Deer(s)

I just got an email from my sister-in-law in Mississippi with pix of another bucks (partial) rack embedded into the side of another bucks head. Hummm.
