Recipe needed

I am looking for a recipe for fruitcake cookies. The one that I want had graham crackers in it. I think that it might be Icebox Fruitcake cookies, but I am not sure. I have found several recipes on the internet and in my cookbooks, but I cannot find the one that I am looking for.

Any help will be appreciated!

Re: Recipe needed

I love my fruit cake cookies. Made from scratch with all the spices and candied fruit. I've made them for years and they are one of my families favorite. Have to double the recipe also. My husband loves them with coffee. I'll email the recipe Dear Roo.

Re: Recipe needed

Rhonda, maybe this is it or at least similar. I found it at southernfood.about.com. I like that site and recipegoldmine.com if you want to check them out. I hope this helps!

Easy no-bake fruitcake balls, made with candied fruits, spices, graham cracker crumbs, and chopped pecans.
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 cup butter
1/2 cup honey
1 cup finely chopped mixed candied fruits
1 cup chopped dates
1/2 cup raisins, chopped
1/2 cup candied pineapple, chopped
1/2 cup chopped candied cherries
1 cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon grated orange peel
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
dash ground cloves
3 1/2 cups fine graham cracker crumbs

PREPARATION:
In a large mixing bowl, cream butter until light; beat in honey until fluffy. Add fruits and nuts, orange peel, vanilla, salt, and spices. Mix to blend thoroughly. Let stand for several hours to let flavors blend.

Add crumbs and mix in until well blended. Shape into small balls. If desired, drizzle with a confectioners' sugar icing or roll in finely chopped nuts or confectioners' sugar. Store in tightly covered container in refrigerator, separating layers with waxed paper.
Makes about 4 to 5 dozen 1 1/4 to 1 1/2-inch balls.

Re: Recipe needed

Is this it:

2 pounds graham crackers, crushed

1 pound chopped candied fruit

1 pound raisins, chopped

1/2 pound pitted dates, finely chopped

1 pound finely chopped nuts

2 cups miniature marsh-mallows

1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk

Mix crackers, fruit, raisins, dates, nuts, marshmallows and milk in large bowl. Press into 2 well-buttered loaf pans, or line pans with wax paper (can use disposable foil pans). Store in refrigerator three days before eating.

I had to stop and ask self,"Do I really need to be here", and self says,"Only in the cover of darkness."

Re: Recipe needed

Or this one.

1 pound graham crackers
16 ounces maraschino cherries
15 ounces raisins, seedless
1 pound nuts chopped
1 pound marshmallows
1/2 pound butter
1 teaspoon nutmeg ground

Directions
Crumb crackers in processor.

Halve cherries. Blend in very large bowl crumbs, raisins, nuts, cherries (and juice), and nutmeg.

Set aside.

In a large saucepan over low heat, melt marshmallows and
butter.

Add to crumb mixture and blend well with hands.

Wash hands. Line cracker box with foil.

Pack mixture into box and chill several hours until firm.

To vary: use green and red cherries and/or a small amount of
candied fruit.

I had to stop and ask self,"Do I really need to be here", and self says,"Only in the cover of darkness."
