Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator Version 2.06
I have xp operating system. Use to have 2000. So I still have my scanner from when I had windows 2000. I get an email from Microsoft saying I can download "This is the latest version of the Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator. The Microsoft iSCSI Software Initiator enables connection of a Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP host to an external iSCSI storage array"
This is Greek to me. Does this mean if I download this I can use my scanner on Windows XP? I don't want this if this is going to cause me problems with my old pc. Thanks to J. Flockery it keeps on ticking.

SCSI storage array is NOT your scanner. My suggestion would be to buy yourself a new scanner Debby.

Your scanner should have xp drivers available. iSCSI initiator connects servers to external data storage-like a SANS device. You just need a driver so your computer can recognize the scanner.
What's your model name/# of the scanner?

What's your model name/# of the scanner?
I believe Debby has one of those older scanners made obsolete by Windows XP. I had one when XP came out. Had to buy a new scanner. No other way around it. Best bet is to buy a new scanner.

Very old. We bought it in Oct of 1999. It's a Visionerr. I think I'll get a new one. Really want one anyway. Thanks guys.

I had to buy a new scanner when I upped to Windows XP. I had a Visioneer scanner that was not supported by the upgrade.
