One reason I think he took the position besides Texas being his Alma Mater is maybe he's thinking he may have a shot at the head coaching position when Mack Brown retires. If he doesn't won't to be at Alabama then all I have to say "don't let the door hit ya in the @ss!"

Most comments from the sports talk radio stations tend to be that the move was best for Bama and Applewhite. Insiders say that Sabin wasn't pleased with the way the co-offensive coaching jobs was working out. Sabin was reported to have been for the move and encouraged Applewhite to interview for the job. This is no different when Bryant left Texas A&M for Alabama when "mama called".

his $250,000.00 salary will be less at Texas as a running backs coach, but he will be home.
