I was on my way home from Linden this afternoon when I saw a yellow fiberglass pole laying in the middle of Hwy 43 at the Courthouse intersection this afternoon. I stopped, got out and retrieved it from the middle of the road.

It is a yellow fiberglass pole, looks like one of the sticks Alabama Power Company or Black Warrior Electric would use to reset a breaker on a pole or transformer by someone who is up in a bucket on a bucket truck. It is not long enough to reach these breakers from the ground. I placed a few calls this afternoon to people I know who work at BWEMC in Linden trying to find out if someone lost this piece of equipment, but have had no replies as of yet.

If anyone knows anything about who may have lost this piece of equipment or wishes to claim this item, please feel free to contact me @ 295-1318.

Hey Stick, Linden has had electical contractors that I believe are subcontracting with Alabama Power doing alot of work around Linden, Don't know the name of the contractors but they are in big yellow trucks, I would contact ALA Power, or tomorrow one round around Linden and you will see the trucks. They were working on Mobile St this afternoon.

If you're up early that company is usually in the old depot parking lot when I leave for work at 6:30 on Tuesdays.

You know me! I ain't up that early unless I got a reason to be.

If you don't mind, stop by there in the morning and ask them if someone lost the stick from their truck sometime yesterday. You can give them my number to call if it belongs to them and they want it back.

Well your reason would be to get their stick back to them. Just kidding  If they're out there I'll ask them.

This item has been CLAIMED! It apparently belongs to Black Warrior Electric in Linden. I got the call just a few minutes ago.

CORRECTION!

BWEMC called from Demopolis this morning and told my wife to have me take it by the warehouse in Linden and drop it off.

I got a call after that from an employee of Alabama Power Company who told me it most likely belonged to the Pike Electic crew working in Linden. This guy described the pole to a "T". I got up with the Pike Electric crew in Linden after lunch today. They, too, described the pole to a "T" BEFORE I even got it out of the truck. I turned it over to them. They were glad to get it back.

One of my friends from BWEMC sent word to me that it more than likely belonged to Pike Electric, that he had no knowledge of any of their crew losing a piece of equipment like that.

I feel the piece of equipment is back with its rightful owners.
