This will be a good opportunity to take your children to see a great air show. Activities for children are also usually planned. Many of the activities on NAS Meridian use this event as a fundraiser to support their programs. Many activities are also free. Souvenirs of the Blue Angels are also available for purchase (many of which are pricey). Autographs and photo sessions with the Blue Angels and other performers are also usually scheduled. Be prepared for a lot of walking and please take your sunscreen because usually most of the seating area is uncovered. Lawn chairs are usually allowed. I will post more information as it becomes available.
REMEMBER: The weather has a lot to do with the program that will be performed. A too low of a ceiling (meaning: low clouds) will result in a reduced program. Rain, high winds, or other incliment weather may cancel the program one or both days.

Thanks so much for posting this! We love to watch the Blue Angels! We have been to Pensacola many times to watch them fly and they truly are amazing. This would be a fun outing for families! Can't wait! Thanks again for posting this!
Good friends are like stars...You don't always see them, but you know they are always there!
The Blue Angels usually do a practice run the day before an show date to locate reference points on the ground. Many people find a place off base to watch these practice runs. Local appearances at places such as schools also usually take place. Channel 11 in Meridian may have more info on this event as the show dates approaches.
Great idea! Anyone with kids...or kids with kid-like parents will enjoy this.
Thanks Eagle101 for posting this info. I saw them at Belle Chase near New Orleans back in 1998. That brought out the kid in me that day. Love to see them again. Gotta mark that calendar.
Eagle101, don't forget to bump this as we get closer.
The will of God prevails. In great contests each party claims to act in accordance with the will of God. Both may be, but one must be, wrong. - Abraham Lincoln, 1862
We watched the Blue Angels in Pensacola, they are awesome. We have been wanting to carry the grandson to see them. I quess we will try to make plans to attend this one, since it is close to home.
The Blue Angels flew here in Battle Creek last year. It was an awesome show! It is also true that they will fly a practice show the day before, so if you can not make the "big show", go the day before and find a spot anywhere within a mile or two of the airport with a decent view and enjoy!
Thanks Eagle101, we will definitely be taking the kids. I love the Blue Angels! I'd love to see the wing walkers too. My dad always asked why anyone would get out of a perfectly good airplane lol!
The Blue Angels are wonderful. We went a few years ago to watch the air show in Meridian. My now son-in-law was stationed in Meridian and was fortunate enough to fly one of the old bombers that was in the show. He also designed the cover of the program and has done so again this year. I hear it is going to be a great show.
