I am considering an MP3 player purchase and wanted to know, BESIDES IPods, what are some of your fav's or what you would consider the best bang for your buck?
I would like to have at least 20G with the ability to play video.

BESIDES iPod?!?!..lol. There are others?!?..lol I'm just messing with ya. Although I'm not familiar with other MP3 players but I think Sony makes one that looks SORTA like their phones that can play video. I'm not really sure but I believe I looked at one made by Sony at Circuit City. Can't remember the price on it either. I'm alot of help ain't I!..lol. You just need to get an iPod and be done with it!! lol I have an iPod Touch that I LOVE because it has wifi access on it with Safari browser, my DVD's and all my music...little on the expensive side but you definitly get what you pay for.
BTW...iPod Touch now comes in 8, 16 and 32GB!

I love my IPOD almost as much as my Kids and Dog. If there is a housefire it will be #3 on my list to rescue. Mine doesn't have video capabilities, but I've seen a few that do and they are cool looking.

What size player are you looking for? For video, I love my Archos 605. It's 80 gigs, plays Video, songs, even acts as a DVR (with separate docking station). It's bulky though, not slim and small like an IPod. If you really want to watch video, though, it's top of my list.

I have an older IPod, but I still love it!I saw some Nano's at Sams the other day at what I thought to be good prices, there again you pay for what you get. And by the way, I am a complete illiterate when it comes to technology, and I am able to download songs by myself. Go ahead you guys, I know you all will think that is a hoot.

Mine is really old, too. My kids had to show me how to figure it out. It still gives me fits sometimes, but the music--ahhhhhhhhhhhh----------the sound that comes out of that little thing! All the nuances you didn't notice before. suh--weet! I would prolly lay out and die if I had video capabilities.
And .......Bamassee! I am sooooo sorry. I just re-read your post to begin this thread and it said BESIDES Ipod. Duh. I am sorry! My daughter has an MP3 player that I jokingly call NoPod. (she has no sense of humor) Her dad and I together are purchasing an IPOD for her for her birthday coming up. The NoPod is kinda .............blah. LOL
