It has been awhile since I have done a new poll and I figured it was long overdue.
When you travel and stay over night in a hotel/motel do you use the pool / hot tub / jacuuzi?

ummm, yeah, I do. PLEASE dont tell me there's some sort of cant-get-rid-of-it, Clorox-wont-take it off disease that's caused by lounging in a hot tub. You'll ruin my most favorite, relaxing thing to do on vacation!!

Now see there? You just HAD TO, didnt ya, parrotthead? LOL!
Guess there's just some risks a girl has to take when she needs a hot tub, a bottle of bubbly, soft music and a candle or two. Yeah, I'll just have to sacrifice hygienic safety for the sake of scientific research, I guess.
That's why you always take antibiotics on vacation w/ ya!!!
LOL

:rofl:Yep, a little penicillin for what ails ya!
Seriously, I dont wanna kootie on me. I thought they had to treat hot tubs w/ethyl-methyl-bad-stuff to kill all the kooties and germs left by others? At least that's what my brain wants to think is true! lol!

I like to have my own bathwater. Pools are ok though.

I don't care for hot tubs much-makes me too hot
*hmm that didn't sound too good*
I do use the pool though at the motels.

I like both. When we make trips on the motorcycle we ask the hotel if they have a working pool. The pool feels so good after a riding the motorcycle on a hot day.

Both give me the heebie jeebies! I've had some friends tell me some gruesome hotel/motel/resort stories about things they have done in the hot tubs and pools. I should chose my hot tubs, pools, and friends more carefully :WTF
I think a good shower after would get things nice and tidy tho, :)

I usually get the Jacuzzi Sweet. As far as the pool is concerned there should be enough chlorine in there to kill what ever is in it. I know I have stayed at some hotels and let me tell you the chlorine was so strong it made your eyes burn before you even got in.

I forgot about the therapy pool at the gym. I went there for a while. Its like a massive jacuzzi/hot tub/ pool. The rules said shower before you get in there and before you get into the lap pool, but I doubt some did. It sure did feel good in that therapy pool. I surely hope they design the cleaners and stuff to kill the bad guys (cooties)

We don't stay in motels much at all any more because we travel in the travel trailor. We do look for campgrounds that have pools, tho. Most of the campgrounds we stay in have both pool and hot tub. I love to get in the pool, especially after a long day.

Don't have one at home. I want to take advantage of it while I'm there. That's one of the first things we look at when booking a hotel. I know what goes on in them. There's enough chlorine to kill just about anything. I don't sit there and drink the water or anything. Been swimming in public pools and public hot tubs all my life and have enver gotten any diseases or illnesses.

If you are honestly worried about the pool and hot tub then don't stay in a hotel at all there are MUCH worse things in the actual room than in the pool or hot tub!!

...just spent a wonderful relaxing hour in our hot tub. 100 degrees, jets gently churning the water, the lights changing colors ...good for what ails you ...especially Monday. :)

That ain't no lie.
I have thought about taking a black light with but then I figured as much as I live out of hotels it probably wouldn't be a good idea.
