Political Party Leaders

Since it is election season. I was wondering, who are the leaders of the Democratic and Republican parties in Marengo County. I would love to know who to contact in order to publicly support the candidate of my choice. I figured there might be a few other people who might be interested in this also.

Also, where are the local(state) headquarters for Senators Obama, McCain, and Clintons campaigns?

Because of the demographics, I believe most everyone that runs for office in the County elections run on the democratic ticket. There have been a few independents here and there.

Marengo County does have a Republican Party chairperson as well as our neighboring counties. The local GOP is not strong enough or large enough to foster a local GOP slate of candidates. However, they are responsible for local mass advertising in state and national elections. The Shelby billboard that has welcomed people to D'mop ever since his last re-election was an advertising location selected, if not fully funded, by the Marengo County GOP leadership.

Wyldfire, I don't know who the local GOP chairperson is but I'll PM you the name of someone who could tell you, and would probably be glad to tell you.

Well I dont know the name of eihte r, but Im almost positive there is a hea dof both the Democrat and Republican parties in Marengo county!

I just remembered that either the probate judge's office or the circuit clerk's office can answer the question to both parties. They should have that information either on file or on memory.
