One of Cecil's first stops on her reelection attempt is in Selma, AL, visiting her old friend Hank Sanders. The visit reportedly is to obtain campaign funds. If you ever ride through the area, listen to Sander's radio show. He always has something negative to say about our town.
Anyone that has looked at Sander's career in the State Senate knows he has a tendency to take state money and put it to personal use--including over 2 million dollars used for projects he or his family were over. Hmm--using government money for personal use...I guess Sanders and Williamson DO have something in common!
We saw this coming in 2004. We've seen what Williamson did with the chance she shouldn't have ever gotten. Can we all afford to sit and watch it happen again?

I always heard that the reason she won was directly due to Hank Sanders. Hopefully the citizens of Demopolis are wide awake now and will not elect her for a 2nd term.

I had to stop and ask self,"Do I really need to be here", and self says,"Only in the cover of darkness."
We need to do more than hope. We need to be talking with family, friends, aquaintances and anyone that will sit or stand long enough for us to give them an ear full. If she gets elected again it's our fault!

I agree. Anyone who has a vote in the Mayor's race should be working toward getting Grayson in office. You don't have to go public to be a supporter for Mike Grayson. Speak to everyone you know who has an opportunity to make a needed change in your community. Talk about it at lunch, ballgames, church, rodeos etc..

I can't believe that Cecil Williamson has the guts to run again. She must be living in la-la land if she thinks she can trick the people of Demopolis into voting for her after the stunts she has pulled since being in office. She needs to be in Selma campaigning, wish she was running for office over there instead of Demopolis.

This is my exact thought. She had the wool pulled over many's eyes last time, but her true colors have shown brightly in the past 4 years so I pray her days are numbered as Mayor of Demopolis.
