Demopolis Library Summer Reading Program
I am not sure if this is in the right place or not, but the summer reading program this year is not just for kids. Grown ups can sign up, too. If you like to read, I would like to encourage you to sign up!
I signed up with my kids last week. I have just finished two really good novels, that are a little different from what I normally read.
Child 44 is by Tom Rob Smith. It takes place in the Soviet Union. It is about the confines of their government, and is a thrilling murder tale! I did not figure it out until near the climax!
Daniel Silva wrote The Secret Servant. It is about terrorists, Islam, America, el-jihad, and more. It was definitely a page turner. And it is also very close to home.
I think my goal this summer is going to be to read about different cultures and countries. It will be like mini vacations.
Anyway, shot out to the library! Visit it this summer!
