Understandable or Slimy?
If your spouse/signifigant other was disfigured in an accident would you stay with them even if you had options?

We can't answer that question unless we have been in that position. Nobody really knows what went on behind closed doors in their marraige. She may have been bitter and hard to live with. He, as a PoW more than likely had issues to deal with that we simply can't understand. She may have wanted the divorce as much as he did. The article is full of heresay and supposition. This question is impossible to answer. It is also irrelevant to his ability to serve this country as President.

Whether it be dissatisfaction with a disfigured spouse or a so called mid life crisis, it still speaks to character. He could have divorced her and then took on new girlfriends. I'm not judging him, we are all sinners, I just never knew this side of the republican nominee for president. Amazing how the media who has been accused of being one-sided towards BO has let this lie.

This has been out there for a long, long time.....at least I've been aware of it for at least 8 years.....Sweet Pea's secret hero (Bush) surrogates used it 8 years ago against McCain and I'm sure it will get some play now.....it doesn't influence me at all....... of course I've never believed Obama was a Muslim or that Michelle meant she'd never been proud of her country either.....I try to concentrate on what I consider possible after sifting through the fluff of their oratory....unfortunetly McCain has so little fluff he's boring.....

I knew nothing about this. It says alot that you found it on a United Kingdom news report, probably posted on an American news page. Are we not supposed to know? I am guilty of mostly reading the top 25 or so headlines and not digging any deeper. Most of the political "gossip" is always in the top 25 anyhow.

McCain leaves nothing to be proud of here, according to the sources. Kudos to Ross Perot for footing her medical bills, which must have been a fortune.

According to the sources here, McCain admits that he had girlfriends during his marriage. Good or bad marriage, whatever it was, there is never room for girlfriends or boyfriends, period.

These days its so hard to know and what to believe. If this article is true it definitely would color my opinion of McCain. And the colors are not pretty.
