First Female Four-Star General

I read in the paper that President George W. Bush has nominated Lt. Gen. Ann E. Dunwoody as the nation's first female four-star general. Upon confirmation, she will be responsible for 56,000 troops and staff. It's nice to see that time's are a changing.

Re: First Female Four-Star General

Great!!

I had a friend in the mid-80's who was a female pilot. She was the TOP in her pilot training squadron, & was "fighter-qualified" but @ that time females could not fly fighters because of the combat rules of no women in combat.....

Almost 25 yrs later, we now have a female 4-star general!

We've come a long way, (slowly!), baby!!

OK-----Here's the deal....Don't touch nobody, don't Kill nobody!!==>MsD's rule for the nursing students when I leave the floor for a minute!!

Re: First Female Four-Star General

I worked very closely with female fighter pilots when I was assigned to the 333TS in 1993-95. The ones I worked with were some of the first female combat pilots flying F15E's....they were a RUTHLESS bunch! It's about time females acheived these positions within our military...because in my own opinion, a woman in a combat situation can be downright....mean!..lol

If guns kill people, then pencils are to blame for all of my spelling errors.
