It sounds like the windows registy, usually when you see that 32 number it is not good, You can try to install your registy or if you have a Go Back option, I am no exp. by any means, but if it has a button I will push it

Google has 1 hit. (http://www.accountingsoftware411.com/AS411Msgbrds.nsf/msgBoards_vw/9A9F1889B44C26B786256F8D00789193?OpenDocument) Exact name of program would be helpful.

I googled rt32w.exe, it shows up plenty of vague information.

Need more input. Go to search, files and folders, type in rt32w.*, look at advanced search options, advanced options, depends on exactly how Windows is setup as to the name, make sure search hidden files and folders is checked.

I need to know the location of this file so I have some information to work with.

I found this (http://manuals.sybase.com/onlinebooks/group-im/imcore5/imug/@Generic__BookTextView/40066)

It lists rt32w.exe as a file for backwards compatibility. I thought it sounded kind of like an XP/DOS app compatability issue.

How old is the program?

Oldman the program is very old. It was originally running on a Windows 95 computer. As for the exact age I do not know.

Windows XP application compatibility wizard will make allowances for old DOS and 16bit Windows apps, it is a free, downloadable addon to Windows XP. I'll post a link later when I have time to find it.

It can be made to work, but may be a pain in the butt to do so. I have a sheet somewhere detailing how to get oddball 16bit apps working properly in XP.

Is it a DOS app or is it designed for Windows 95/98?

edit: or simply, what is the program's exact name?
