Gift Of Lights

The new addition to the Christmas on the River festivities is under full swing now. The Gift of Lights located in the Botanical Gardens is truly a sight to see! I stopped by there Saturday night and was completely blown away by the sights. The grounds are literally covered with scenes of Christmas done in the lighted COTR style. They have everything from Santa and wise men, to good old Louie the Lightning Bug on display for everyone to see. There is also Santa and Mrs. Clause there for the kids, as well as a refreshment stand with warm beverages for the cold parents! The grounds were cleaned up very well complete with mulched walkways. I'll have to say I had a good time, and for only 3 bucks I think a lot of other people will too. It would be great for people with children, or just people that really get into the Christmas Spirit! I would encourage everyone to go check out the new addition to our festivities and support the great celebration held here in Demopolis every year! And if you happen to see Jim Parr, the chairman for COTR this year, let him know what a great job he is doing, and let him know where you get all your COTR information, at Demopolis.BIZ!
