Need Sitter for Hospital Patient
My husband and I would like to hire someone who can sit with my father-in-law who is in the hospital here at Bryan Whitfield with pneumonia. He has trouble with bouts of confusion and the staff have asked us to have someone stay with him most of the time. If you can or know of someone who can sit with him for any period of time over the next few days, please pm me ASAP.

The hospital should have a list of people who do private duty sitting with patients. Did they not offer you a copy or to allow you to see the list? If not, call or go out there and ask for the Nursing Supervisor.

No, just said we needed someone to stay with him as they didn't have enough nurses on staff to be able to handle him. Hopefully we will be able to find someone tomorrow. I will check with the hospital and see if they have a list of sitters. thanks!

Angel Wing, check w/Marengo Nursing Home. My mother was there for a rehab period and there are several CNA's that perform private work also. If you need any help let me know.

Angel Wing, I work at the hospital and I know Vanessa Barley in Nursing Administration has a list of people who will come sit with patients. You can contact her at 287-2621.

Thanks 2spold, I talked with a lady from the hospital this morning, probably Mrs Barley, and she has a left us a list.

Thanks, I think our daughter-in-law has got the sitters lined up for the new few days at least. It's great having family in medical field.
