There was a problem a week or so ago, but I thought we had it hammered out. All the server changes finally started coming together.

What kind of problems?

You may be on to something. When I replied that I had no trouble it was true up through last night but I have received no mail today and that is not normal.

Does anyone have comments, good or bad, about Bell South Dial Internet Service? Can't get high speed out here in the sticks. Bell South sent me an offer for a package deal, phone service, unlimited U.S. long distance and dial internet for $59.94 a month. Is bell South internet any better than Network IT?

We are on Bellsouth DSL and like it a lot. We've had very little trouble with it since we got on about a year ago. Great to have it going full time and super fast download. Since we have 3 computers connected to it at once sometimes it really comes in handy.

I had dial up for years. The only major problem we had was the email account that we had to open to start the dial up. We have never been able to check and the people at bellsouth can't check it either. Then the password got changed one time and so did the user name. Noone can tell me how that happened. They told me that someone must have changed it from our end. Well we weren't even on the comp when it got changed. We left and went to town and when we got home it had been changed. At the time, we had Norton so we had pretty good protection from spyware and the likes. I asked them why we would change it to something that didn't mean a thing to us and they couldn't answer me. We changed the password back and have had no further problems with that. The user name got changed the same way and we have no clue how that would happen either and once again neither did bellsouth. But that has been several years ago so maybe they go it all worked out. We also would get knocked off line alot on dial up. I was so happy when we could get DSL that I almost did a jig!!! Now that I have DSL I don't think that I could ever go to dial up again.

Bellsouth is the same service at a cheaper price.

The downside, you'll be talking to a guy in Florida reading straight out of a book about all of your problems. At least here you can talk to a tech that has something to do with it.

For the record, CATV's internet provider somehow lost connection over the weekend. All traffic defaulted to the T1, the email is on the satellite at this time. Everyone is on it as we speak... er... type.
If it isn't fixed by this afternoon, I'll have a quick fix posted for it.
