Ca-John's Bar 2pm - 6pm - "Third Trimester" - Acoustic country, rock & blues music.
Courtyard 8p.m. - 12 p.m. - "Hillbilly Trucking" - Southeast's hottest and most entertaining classic county cover band.
Restaurant 5pm - 'till - Crawfish, steaks, catfish, shrimp, chicken

Saturday 16th
10am Crawfish - Arts & Crafts - Children Activities
Cooking Area 11am - till - "DJ" Playing all your favorites
Western Dance Clib - Line Dancing
3pm Crawfish Eating Contest Tuscaloosa Mayor Al Dupont, Emcee
Tuscaloosa Police Chief - Ken Swindle, Judge

Courtyard 1pm - 4:30pm "The Ulgy Stick" Play rock, funk and hip-hop.

Faunsdale will once again be a happening place. Two famous local events will be taking place simultaneously this coming weekend.

First will be the Alabama Crawfish Festival hosted by the Alabama Crawfish Association and Ca-John's Faunsdale Bar & Grill. Plenty of music, arts & crafts, entertainment, drinks (both alcoholic and non-alcoholic), and of course that great Southern delicacy.....CRAWFISH! Be warned the Marengo County Sheriff's Department in conjunction with Alabama Alcoholic Beverage Control and other law enforcement agencies will be in town during the Crawfish Festival looking for underage drinking and DUI's as well as to preserve the peace.

Faunsdale Bike Rally LLC will be hosting it's Spring 2005 rally this weekend. This event formally kicks off on Friday morning and will continue till Sunday afternoon. $20 per person gets you in the gate all weekend long. Armbands must be worn on the wrist at all times. Security will be present. No firearms, no attitudes, no fighting or you will be escorted from the property. Plenty of primitive camping as well as some sites w/ electricity are available. Restroom facilities will be plentiful across the grounds.

I'm sure there will be lots of people there...was over that way this past weekend and the people are already moving in to the spots up at Bob's place....Hope everyone will use their heads and have a safe weekend over there.

2005 Crawfish Festival
Does anyone know what bands are playing in Faunsdale this year. The bar & grill's website is gone. I know The Uglistick is playing Saturday but that is all I've been able to find out.

Hope all ya'll have LOTS of fun out there at the Crawfish Festival!!! Wish I was gonna be there, but just a bit too far. Gonna do the next best thing to the Crawfish Festival and Bike Rally though..gonna be at the Subway 500 in Phoenix on a hog and having LOTS of fun.

I will give everyone a tip for the day. If you're going to the Crawfish Festival or Bike Rally and intend on consuming alcohol.... BEWARE!!!

It will behoove you not to drink and drive in Faunsdale this weekend. Contrary to previously published Dept.of Public Safety policy, there IS a heavy presence of State Troopers in the county this weekend! I went to Linden about 11:30am today. There were 6 marked, 3 slicktop marked, and 2 unmarked State Trooper cars at Mr. Johnny's. One of the slicktop cars was marked as a canine unit. Be lining yourself up a designated driver if you plan to partake of alcoholic beverages in Faunsdale this weekend!!!

Of course there will ber the large presence of ABC Enforcement Agents, Marengo County Sheriff's Deputies, and other assisting law enforcement personnel in the area to keep the riff-raff down, bust underage drinkers, as well as looking for DUI's.

I did have the pleasure of going to the bike rally yesterday. There were more hotties than you can shake a stick at !!!! And for the first time in recorded history LPL and Stickman met in person. We got a great pic together and had good conversation. LPL also saw som 80 year old ta ta's, which will haunt my dreams for the rest of my life !
