So, the girl in Georgia just had jitters?!? What about her families feelings, the guy she was supposed to marry, the cops, and the country? Wait until she gets the bill from the cops for the cost of the search!
They've given me a number, and taken away my name!

Re: Runaway Bride
Not just the money from the police search, but the media reported that this wedding was going to be huge. I believe I saw where she had like 14 bridesmaid and 14 groomsmen, and had sent out 600 invitations! Think of all the money her and her family have already forked out for this wedding that didn't even take place. Anyway, aside from the money, this girl has got to have some major emotional issues to do something like this...
It will be interesting to see if she will do some type of interview or something in the future to explain what she was really thinking.
I can understand if she felt overwhelmed by the whole thing and had second thoughts. Maybe the huge wedding was her mothers doing mostly and she just went along with it. But to leave and let everyone think she was kidnapped was just so wrong. If she wanted to just get away and not go through with the wedding, then at least leave a note to that effect so everyone wouldn't be so worried about her. That was being so cruel to her family and friends left behind and not knowing.
Same here. Wher is the original story?????????????????:dunno:
Go to CNN.com to read about "The Runaway Bride". I agree with Angelwing--why not at least leave a note. There was no need to worry her family so much. I can't wait to hear what "The Bride" has to say if she gives an interview. I wonder what her fiance' thinks of her now--he didn't fly to NM with her parents.
i know how she feels because i am about to be a bride myself in two weeks but i don't think i could be that overwhelmed to run off and have everyone i know searching for me that too me is just wrong when everyone thinks your dead and questioning the husband like he killed her
What law did she break in Georgia?? I don't believe there is a law that prevents a woman over 21 from taking an unannounced vacation. I do believe she broke the law in New Mexico when she filed a false report of being kidnapped. Georgia may try and recoup the expenses of the search but I believe they have to prove she knew there was a big fuss to locate her. Bottom line is the woman needs some serious counseling. The groom may be having some second thoughts. I arrived at this conclusion by him not making the trip to return her home.
