An unnamed suspect allegedly robbed the ABC liquor store here in Demopolis and led a high speed chase all the way to Selma. He was later caught after crashing his van at a catfish farm. After six hours of apparently hiding in the woods, he was finally tracked down by the "hounds".

ABC stored Robbed!!
this morning around 9:30 my mother, who formally managed the demopolis abc store, and now manages a larger store in selma, informed me that the demopolis abc store had been robbed at gun point. at this point she didn't know if anyone had be hurt, but she suspects a few people will be quiting thier employment with the state in more than just demopolis. ill update ya when she gives me the rest of the inside scoop.

Our abc store has been broken in two different times in the past two months and I now Greenville abc store got broke into last month a least three times in one week and this month a least two time. We where able to find out who was doing it they got caught in Montgomery breaking into a corner store. The ones Montgomery caught are believe to be responsalbe for a least 6 or 9 break in around north and south part of Alabama. They rent a car and went on a spree. But I’m really glad none of the officers got hurt. And got to give it to the Demopolis police department for there fast response and catching him.
I was wondering what all the commotion was about yesterday. As I was coming home from the store about 7 or 8 police cars zoomed past me heading towards Selma. Glad none of them got hurt and the guy was finally caught.

A good source tells me that these people were hitting ABC Stores from Louisiana to Alabama. The DPS Director told a group that Demopolis did not recieve a BOLO(Be on the lookout) on these two and the other robberies. Our guys at the DPD did great with their response which ended the long crime spree of these two. Now the question is who will get the first chance to put these two away for a long time??
