trying to make friends
I have been in Demopolis for almost a year now and still haven't made any friends. My mom suggested a group like parents without partners, and I was wondering if anyone knew of a group for single parents. Because of the kids I really haven't been able to get out and find out what there is to do, but at the same time you can only go to work and go home so many times before it starts to get to you. Any suggestions?

poker is on weds nights at lpl's camphouse. its 10 to play and winner takes the pot. its fun. trust me. i wasn't a poker player either till i went out there for the first time. they showed me the ropes and now im addicted to it. lol.

I know it sounds funny, but I actually go to church in Dadeville, because my grandmother is in the nursing home there and my mom and I go up there, go to church and then visit with her. My mom had talked about going to Dadeville on Saturdays so I could go to church here, but basically that would take up most of my weekend and leave very little time to clean house, grocery shop - you know, the things I can't get to during the week. But it is something I had thought about.

Poker does sound like a lot of fun, but I'd feel kind of weird because I don't know LPL or anyone else out there. Plus I don't really know my way around very well - I know all the big places like the schools, the hospital, etc.

Then you will fit it fine ! Because no one really knows LPL or understands his genius ! He is more than eye candy, he is an actual person ! But we would love to have you come out and play. Someone can meet you and show you they way to the cabin, no biggie. If you like good food and to laugh, please come out. We can show you how to play poker in no time !

LOL OK, OK, you convinced me. BTW, just how much should I expect to lose that first night - just so I can be prepared? In fact, could I maybe just watch the first time (I promise not to give away anyone's hand). And a few more details please, such as what time, and where would I meet "someone", etc.?

$10.00 is all you will lose on any poker night. It happens every wedsday at 7:00 at my cabin. The cabin is located around 5 miles outside of demopolis. I can meet you or dave or aufan it does not matter. Just let me know. Your are over the age of 20 ?
