WAP Pool......Director/Supervisor???

Can anyone tell me who to contact regarding WAP pool. Preferably the Director or someone in charge?? I would greatly appreciate the info. My daughter called the pool today to confirm that they were open. Whomever answered the phone was not polite to say the least and used some pretty "harsh" language. My daughters words were: Is the pool open today please?......she was answered with "dont you G*% DA*M hear? Then he hung up on her. What's up with that??? :dunno:

I think it is Tommy Pearson... I know he used to be in charge of it. If he is not he can tell you who is.

Thanks shortstuff......I was really disappointed that they would allow someone that obviously has no idea how to speak to the public let alone the children that will be calling there this summer.

I don't think that Tommy Pearson is in charge of it any more.. But i am sure you could call over to the School and talk to them and they could tell you how was in charge of it.. I know that last year Laura Holley was in charge but she is not this year. I want to say that Sephanie Pope and a few others are in charge this year.. But try call the school to confirm that.. I would let them know that you are not paying all that money to be a member for people to be acting like that...

I hope they (the management) will do something about this. They may never be able to find out who spoke with your daughter but there are ways to correct the situation so that it never happens again. They have a phone on the wall for anyone to access. I would suggest that they install a pay phone for kids to use if they need to call home and that they keep a cordless phone near or at the lifeguard stations so that only the lifeguards can answer the phone and not just any child who happens to be walking by when it rings. I've often wondered why the lifeguards didn't have a cordless nearby anyway. When they receive a call they are pulled away from their stations so it would seem safer for them to keep a phone near at hand.

in response to your complaint, the phones at the pool are messed up. i do not believe the lifegueards used foul language. i was there, and heard no such thing. that kind of language is unacceptable, and they know that. thank you for your concern. any further complaints should be referred to stephanie polk, not pope. thanks.

I spoke with the person in charge today to make them aware of what happened (which was my only intent, to make them aware of it and hope that it does not happen again to anyones child). You are correct, that type of language is NOT acceptable regardless of who it was. I was told that the phones were messed up but again, that does not excuse what was said to my daughter. I would not have guessed that that type of language would be used by anyone at this pool, regardless of who it is. Im confident that there will be more caution with regards to the phone. Thank you to all that have answered this.
