The Veterans Monument
The Veterans Monument Committee, Marengo Memorial Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 5377 and Demopolis American Legion Post 41 are planning a monument and walk of honor for local veterans. The monument will be located in front of the court house in Linden. If any one has a relitive or friend who is intrested in please reply.
The area around the monument will be paved with personlized briks to honor who served or are now serving in our armed forces. Bricks my bre ordered for living and deceased veterans. The cost of each brick is $50.00.
The center of the monument will represent each of the five services, army, navy, marines, air force, coast guard.

yes, but more than one brick can be bought. since a brick is rather small, just
fourteen letters or numbers can be engraved on one. most time the family will put name, rank,branch on them. if your intrested i can mail you a form or you can post one here.

If you have a link, post it. I would be happy to put up a page with info on the monument. I could also put up printable document for anyone to print out and use to order. If you have an e-mail address where bricks can be ordered, we can post that as well.
