Demopolis UPS Store Ceases Operation
I stopped by the UPS Store on Hwy 80 West yesterday and learned it is no longer in operation. There will be an office products/copying operation there but by a new name. UPS has not taken down the sign. Seems this all changed about a month ago.

I heard they closed because they were not making money. Now it cost more to have a package picked up by the driver. Still better than snail mail.

Van Kelly will be th owner of the new office supply store. I think that he will be carring office supplies and printing invitations..I am not sure what else he will be doing.. I have not heard when it will be opening either..

If Van Kelly is the new owner I know he will treat people right. You will not have to worry about him ripping you off like the "Fred Sanford" junk car dealer on Hi-way 80. LOL I know Van and his family and they are good people. Good Luck Mr. Van. I hope the Demopolislive people will do business with you. I know my family will. Please everyone give him a chance and you will see how good of a person he is.

I thought I saw on a local commercial that F&F Drugs is a UPS dropoff. I hope that is correct. I had to drive to Linden last time.

I was suprised thst demopolis even had a UPS store. The community is much smaller than the norm for a franchise to be awarded

demopolis yacht basin is also a ups shipping station. low tech, but useful. check in the parts department and talk to norris. i have used them alot. never a problem. just keep it civil, as in not a hundred people going there at once. if he starts getting overrun, he may not oblige your request.

I used MBE, then the UPS store alot, and was sad to see it go. They were always very helpful. I was quite aggravated when I went to take a package on what was supposed to be their last day open, and learned that they were already gone. The sign on the door said we won't be open PAST x/xx/xx, which to me implies that it would still be open ON x/xx/xx. Is it just me, or does that kind of thing drive everyone else crazy too?
