Oh well, looks like I'll have to sit this season out. About all I'm good for right now is mascot maybe. I'll just have to start training as soon as the baby is here and try for next year. I'll definitely spread the word though and I've already let our sports editor know so he can get something in the paper.

Great! I know there was supposed to be a press release announcing the re-formation of the league, but I don't know if the Parks and Recreation got it out. I know there are a lot of previous ballplayers that would probably like to play if they get the word. It's been about four years since Demopolis had a ladies league. It's hard remembering everybody who was involved.

Okay, all ladies interested in playing should contact Christina Hull @ 289-9786. Right now, it looks like we have enough for 4 teams. There's not much that's concrete right now. If anyone would like to get together a team (sponsor, coach and players), they need to contact her. There will be an organizational meeting probably the 28th to determine the final number of teams and get fees paid, schedule drawn up etc. We're looking to play on either Monday and Thursday or Tuesday & Thursday at the Sportsplex.
