Kudos to the DPD for their quick apprehension of the person who robbed Elk Food Mart late Monday night / early Tuesday morning! You guys are on the ball!!! Suspect was caught within 45 minutes of the robbery. Way to go guys! That's quality police work!!!

Kudos again to the DPD for the quick apprehension of the SECOND armed robber @ Elk Food Mart in as many weeks. Are people stupid enough to think they can rob a convenience store and not get caught on videotape??? Ever see the show "World's Dumbest Criminals"?

The police officers are not always at the station at night. There is not a clerk there after about 9pm on weeknights and no one there on the weekends. Since E-911 went into operation, the police department is not manned 24/7.

I was at Elks (at the old store next to the one there now) and this guy attacked the clerk after trying to get a free beer. She called the police (who could see us from there station) and it took them about 4-5 minutes to get there. This was before E911 and happened around 7 p.m. or so. Used to be Elks was a good target because of the fact if the station was empty the cops were usually no where near, but now since Elks gets robbed weekly, it's problably highly patrolled, especially after hours.

With Demopolis' finest star detective , Demopolis should be the safest town in the State, as long as the robbery doesn't happen in the mornings when he is at the local service stations drinking free coffee......
Another thought, don't let him count any money!!! Obviously arithmatic wasn't his best subject...

maybe the one in question don't want anyone to know about the refrigerators. cause someone could and would get in trouble about that.
by the way, who got the money for those stolen refrigerators?
