Congrats to Linden PD!

A pat on the back and an "Attaboy!" goes out to the Linden Police Department in their quick resolution to a burglary at Hillcrest Apartments yesterday (05/31/2003). It seems that attentive LPD Officers had already identified and detained the perpetrator with the property stolen from the apartment shortly before finding the apartment had been burglarized. The occupant of the apartment was a patient in the Demopolis Hospital at the time of the burglary. Good job LPD!!! Keep up the good work!!!

This is the same topic but a different subject. Also give congrats to Linden police chief Jeff Laduron, On this past Wed. FBI special agent Robert Gaskamp came to the Linden City Hall to present Chief Laduron with an award for the role he played in the arrest and conviction of the ex-chief of police Preston Bowden. Bowden was stealing guns and other evidence from the evidence room at the Linden Police Dept. Laduron noticed the missing items and contacted the FBI, Laduron worked with Gaskamp on the case for 2 years before gathering enough evidence to prosecute Bowden. During this entir time week after week Goodloe printed in his paper that Laduron was covering up for Bowden because they were friends, and Laduron would not reveal any information on the case(it was an ongoing case). You notice that there was nothing in the paper concerning the award, Just a small artical about Bowden pleading guilty to Theft II before E. Hardaway. All this takes place 4 or 5 months after Bowden plead guilty to federal charges in Mobile. There was a small artical on that also. All I can say is way to go Chief Laduron. POLICE YOUR OWN!!!

Goodloe would not print the award because it puts egg on his face, this proves that all the times he printed Laduron was covering up was a lie as usual.
