Clerk Resigns
I just heard that Paula Rich has resigned from the City of Demopolis. I really don't know what the city is going to do now because Paula had taken the load of the loss of the experienced City Clerk Vickie for the past year. Now I would assume that the city will have to face the lack of experience in that office since Paula will not be there to teach/train. Paula applied for the City Clerk position, but didn't meet their "qualifications". She also was promised an additional raise from Mayor Williamson when they hired the new City Clerk. To this day she never received that additional raise. The city did hire a part time clerk, but I guess now they will have to hire a Certified Finance Officer or the city may be in big trouble. What are your thoughts?
