9/11 A Day of Remembrance
The events of September 11, 2001 effected every
American. Our prayers go out to each victim of this senseless tragedy.
Demopolis and Linden will be having ceremonies dedicated the
the heroes of 9/11.
The Demopolis Post Office will be sponsoring a ceremony September 11th
at 9:00am at the Demopolis Post Office to honor the Demopolis Fire and Police
Departments.
Demopolis will also hold a Sept. 11 remembrance ceremony and dedication
of a new flag pole at the Demopolis landing at 5:30 p.m.
Ceremony to be held at 8:15 a.m. at Linden City Hall.
Marengo Academy hold a ceremony "A Day of Remembrance" at 10:15 a.m. in the school gym. Guest speaker will be Col. John Williams of
Montgomery.
George W. Bush has designated Sept. 11th as "Patriot
Day" and has called on all Americans to observe with patriotic activities.
